David spent six years as Chief Product Officer at GitLab before joining Anaconda. Consequently, he brings deep DevOps and secure supply chain experience to a company that already serves more than 52 million developers. Today he leads Anaconda's pivot into AI.

Building the AI native development platform

Anaconda has been the trusted source of secure Python packages for more than 14 years. As a result, it grew from data science into machine learning and now into AI. David rebuilt the strategy and launched the new platform at AWS re:Invent last year.

Earlier this year Anaconda also acquired Outerbounds. That deal brought production pipeline expertise from the team that built Metaflow at Netflix. Meanwhile, David realized the strategy still needed an agent layer to close the loop from development to production.

Why Kilo Code fills the missing gap

Kilo Code launched an open core coding agent with access to more than 500 AI models across 60 providers. In addition, the team shipped a code review agent, a security agent and an architect agent over the last nine months. Therefore, the acquisition brings the missing agent layer into the AI native development platform in one motion.
