Mark Fussell with Microsoft founded the Distributed Applications Runtime project, Dapr in 2019 which is one of the fastest-growing open-source projects and is changing the landscape of how to easily build distributed applications on platforms like Kubernetes. The CNCF Technical Oversight Committee (TOC) has voted to accept Dapr as a CNCF incubating project.
