Can Cisco successfully bridge the gap between traditional Catalyst hardware and Meraki cloud management without leaving network engineers behind? At Cisco Live, Tech Field Day host Tom Hollingsworth sits down with first-time Mobility Field Day delegate Alan Wang to dissect the reality of Cisco’s ongoing Catalyst and Meraki convergence. Alan shares candid insights on the current maturity of unified access points, feature gaps, and the operational hurdles enterprise teams face when migrating legacy controllers like the Catalyst 9800. They also discuss Cisco's hardware incentives, dashboard integrations, and how the networking giant is striving to catch up to cloud-native competitors.
