Since the ever-expanding fire season is upon us, California utilities - and fire services - are swamped with as many as 2,000 false positives a week from existing wildfire detection systems. False alerts come from fog, rain, dust, bird poop and simple smudges on the deployed camera lenses. This is where generative AI comes in. Chooch’s generative AI tool gives firefighters in California’s Kern County a dashboard on their smartphones and PCs, populated in real time with alerts, so they can detect wildfires fast.
